: Steeped in 70's music? Gee Andrys, you sound almost as old as me.
Unfortunately that could very well be, Norm, and worse :-) I experienced Presley as a new singer, so you can imagine!
: Carole King's Tapestry was one of the biggest sellers in the 70's (and maybe even now). Did you know Carole King penned many of the popular old Motown songs with Gerry Goffin?
I'd forgotten that, actually!
: FYI, Vienna has played in SF and Berkeley last year, and I'm sure she'll play them again.
Sure hope so. Union City is a bit too far.
And the San Francisco one, we decided, with a split bill not as attractive as a VT show.
A friend in L.A. in the biz heard her a couple of days ago, loved it, and is going to buy her CD.
All she needs is exposure. I can't imagine there are no calls for more of same after the Letterman show, so we should see more.
The kind of thing that can get to me is what I heard in "Daughter" at timing 1:33 - an incredible false cadence, just so well done (previewed in the opening but with just a little twist).
