13 March 2003 Austin, TX SXSW is fascinating. Daniel Lanois gave the keynote address this morning, and I've gotten to see industry types scream at each other in panels, along with a hefty dose of excellent music. I would write more, but I've a show in Houston tonight, and this merits a little haste right now. I'm not entirely sure how I thought I was going to get a keyboard, a keyboard stand, a mic stand, several boxes of CDs, a PA speaker, a bag of cables, a large suitcase, a merch kit, and a bagful of trade-show paraphernalia back home on a plane without incurring a lot of excess baggage fees. In fact, I'm pretty sure I didn't think about it. - VT
